Grilling Lobster Tips
By Tim Somers on May 19, 2007 in General
Grilling lobster is one of the best ways for you to prepare lobster. The meat will be tender and juicy, not to mention the great flavor it will pick up from the grill itself. Yet, for many, grilling Maine live lobster isn’t something that they know how to do. Here are some tips to remember.
· Par boil the live lobsters before you try to grill them. Boil for about five minutes. Then, place into a bold of ice water that will stop the cooking process. Drain and dry off.
· Before grilling, clean the lobster and remove the meat from it. You’ll want to use proper lobster cleaning methods to remove the black vein and sand sac, of course.
· Place on the grill with flesh side down and basted several times with butter or olive oil. You can season that butter or olive oil any way that you would like to.Â
You should grill your lobsters for about five to six minutes, flip and continue for another four to five minutes until the lobsters are opaque.
