Preparing Grilled Lobster Tails At Home

A favorite type of lobster preparation is that of grilled lobster tails.  As you will quickly see, these are some of the most mouthwatering ways to make lobster.  When purchasing lobster live for this recipe, look for freshness and quality.

To prepare for grilled lobster tails, first make a mixture of a tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice and a half of a cup of extra virgin olive oil.  Add to that a teaspoon each of salt and paprika with a pinch of garlic powder and white pepper. Mix well with a whisk.  This is enough for about two ten ounce rock lobster tails.

To cook the grilled lobster tails, simple split the tails lengthwise and brush on your mixture.  Use a bit of oil to coat the grill and place the lobster tails on it, flesh side facing down.  They will take about ten minutes to cook, with a preheated grill at high heat.  Only turn one time and baste the lobster several times throughout the cooking process.  You’ll know its time to enjoy the grilled lobster tails when the meat is opaque in color and is firm to the touch.
