Store Bought Vs. Buying Live Lobsters
By Tim Somers on May 24, 2007 in General
If you would like a lobster dinner tonight, you may need to head to the local supermarket for live lobsters, or lobsters that have been precooked there. But, if you can wait to have your lobster dinner tomorrow or the next day, you can take advantage of live Maine lobsters delivered right to your door.Â
One of the biggest reasons to purchase lobsters live is the quality of the taste of live lobsters over those of precooked versions. For example, if you plan to have a grilled lobster tail, you’ll be able to tell the difference in the quality, texture and taste of the meat between a live lobster and a store bought pre-cooked version. There is no doubt that it is much better of an option to wait for your lobster stew or your lobster bisque recipes for that extra day or so and get your hands on live lobster.
