The upper housing of the model even has difficult-to-access crevices that must not be covered in soapy water. Consequently, cleaning the areas which cannot be submerged is often complicated. In addition, the action of just soaking the parts in water invites growth of harmful molds.

Black & Decker’s EHC650 is also not particularly useful for chopping coarse chunks of food with the uniformity which some customers would like. The machine will often create coarse chunks on the upper layer and a milky soup underneath. This is different from the information in the manufacturer’s guide as well.
